We are often asked whether Objectives are necessary for a Restaurant Manager’s resume, personally we don’t think so.
With that said, if you would still like to use one then by all means go ahead and add one. But if you do, PLEASE make sure you keep it short and concise — and leave your thesaurus CLOSED while writing it!
Too many restaurant managers’ load their Objective up with so many buzzwords and big, multisyllable words that they end up sounding like absolute nonsense.
Don’t let your first impression be that you are overreaching your skills, abilities, or knowledge — or that you are a blow hard.
Be professional and make sure your resume’s Objective is short, sweet and to the point!
Objective
To obtain an Assistant Restaurant Manager position with a high profile national restaurant group that offers training, development and career advancement opportunities.
Objective
To join a successful, stable restaurant company that provides its Managers with the tools, development programs and advancement opportunities for continued career growth.
