Before you even think about walking in to a job interview, there are 3 things you absolutely need know.<\/p>\n

  1. KNOW who you are<\/em><\/strong>.
    \n(Be honest with and about yourself.) <\/p>\n

    • Are you looking for just a new job or an actual career opportunity?<\/li>\n
    • What are your: skills, accomplishments, strengths & weaknesses, management style, etc?<\/li>\n
    • What motivates you?<\/li>\n
    • What are your goals and what do you want from your life and career?<\/li>\n
    • Why do you feel you can’t you achieve your goals at your current company? (i.e. Why are you looking for a new job?)<\/li>\n
    • What has prevented you from being promoted\/getting to the next level?<\/li>\n
    • Why do you think you can achieve your goal with a new job\/company and not your current\/most recent position\/company? 
        <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • KNOW why you are there.<\/strong><\/em>\n

      • What is the position you are interviewing for?<\/li>\n
      • What do you know about the company with whom you are interviewing?<\/li>\n
      • Why are you interested in the company with whom you are interviewing?<\/li>\n
      • What excites you about the company, position and opportunity? 
          <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • KNOW why you are the best person for the job.<\/strong><\/em>
        \n(Know the first two items above and this part should be easy.) <\/p>\n

        • What do you bring to the table?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Knowing the answers to the above — and being able to present them concisely and\u00a0 confidently<\/em><\/strong> — will have a HUGE impact on both your personal “sales pitch” in the interview AND your chances of getting job offers from those restaurant & hospitality companies that are of greatest<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
