What To Send in Response to a Restaurant Management Job Posting or Ad

Most major restaurant chains have a very structured recruiting process and structure.  If you are responding to a Restaurant Management job posting from one of these companies in the United States, 99% of the time their Recruiters will want you to send just a short Cover Letter and Resume that summarizes your work experience and accomplishments.

Unless additional information is specifically requested in the ad, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you NOT send any other information or detail work with your resume.

This means NO Letter(s) of Recommendation; NO newspaper clippings; NO Serve Safe Certificates; NO awards; NO School Transcripts; NO Armed Services Discharge papers; etc….

If you are unable to summarize your skills, qualifications and accomplishments in a 1-2 page resume (in combination with your cover letter), then it is very doubtful any additional information is going to tip the scales in your favor.
